Is this the Everest motor?
Thanks, great explanations.
No fords for me.
Just watched this fantastic series, man you certainly have some patience. I didn't even hear any swearing, I think I would have.
Edit the swearing out 🤬
How much it will cost for ford focus diesel engine same issue
Holden astra engineering 😂😂
You mentioned at the end of doing an oil change. Just want to check. When starting it back up, did you only put the minimum amount of oil in the engine? Then after leaving it to run, you then removed it all? Just to get rid of any of the nasty oil trapped in the system? OR did you just put more oil in the engine and you're happy as Larry?
Did a full fill and after a few hundred kms did a full oil change
Эмульсия 😢
Not useful doesn’t tell me what size
What is the name of the tool you use.
I bought a duralast replacement that came with a gasket... that i mightve put on n now have a pretty large leak.. is it supposed to go on. The water pump did have the black inner gasket
Does anyone know if the check engine light comes on if there is a glow plug failed? Cheers for the great video. I’m doing mine next week.👍
Great video! Bit overwhelming to do as a first time... i think that is the issue with my car oil in coolant
This helped me a lot! Thank you! =)
You should use an inline filter on your feed line so you're not putting any dissolved carbon back through your injectors that is returning to your bottle from the return line.
Thanks for the tip 🙏
Fits g4kg intek gasket use
Yo yo Steve - what type of silicon do you use?As there's different types so unsure which one to buy.
I use JB Weld Black silicon
Confirms my suspicions! Thanks!
You're welcome!
Hey mate can i do the same process as you with the manual version or do i need to pull cv’s out and pull out transmission aswell?
Yep same process
Mine always has that ticking sound also. I just replaced my overflow tank hopefully I did it correctly?
I can't find the drain plug or filler cap on my 2012 chevy cruze for transmission.
Cereal box and Grease gasket work every time
🤣😂🤪
Exelent video
GREAT job Buddy!
Thanks!🙏
Ford's best..
Legend mate thank you
No problem 👍
Is that a Mazda 3 or Ford focus engine. I had a similar problem it was the fuel injection o rings leaking but yer fix that triple seal problem first 😅
Cruze 🤦♂️
Plastic crap intake manifolds. They always warp
And melt
I've got a plastic intake manifold in my Audi. It's over 20 years old and has no leaks
Awesome video... thank you!
Hey! 👋🏼 I did what you did with the old seal..cosidering it was a perfect fit on the new seal to guide it in evenly. From my before picture, which i took as a reference, i saw that my rear main seal use to be flush with the cover. After i use my old seal on top the new one it got pushed past the lip/cover and is not as flush with the cover. What are the drawback of going in deeper than 'flush'? Thanks
Thanks for the tips! If it goes too far in it can interfere with the crank etc.
This is an excellent repair video. Today i heared that my cooler is also leaky Astra J 1.4 Turbo. They said it costs about 880 Euro, 3 hours work, the rest of the money for material, he said between 20 and thirty new parts. Greetings from Germany But i don't know if i can do this😅
It is a fair bit of work but the part is cheap. If you are going to give it a go, watch lots of the videos and have a good range of tools. All the best from Australia 🇦🇺
@@killawattgarage Thank you, Greetings from Bavaria/Germany
I’m tackling the job as we speak and because of your videos I wouldn’t be able to get it done. I appreciate it. Also, did you ever find the footage for tightening the cams and the caps?
thanks, and no luck on that footage
Diesels have no throttle body.
My bad, I do say dumb stuff from time to time.Nice pick-up
@@killawattgarage No worries.👍
Good video, except what size the Fill level plug bolt is... you just said take this bolt out, n moved on
From memory it’s an 11mm
@killawattgarage yes it is, thanks, other than that excellent video, n only reason i said this is cuz I watched this video to see what size socket it was.
This is amazing! You have done an excellent job. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
Hey this is the same procedure as changing the alternator on one of these 😅
Changing the oil cooler is not s problem, pretty straightforward but matching up all those darn rubber o-rings is a pain.
33nm
I’m having the same problem in my 2014 Chevrolet Cruz it is from the manufacture si I can’t replace just the damper which is the metal circular part so my question is do I buy a whole new line or I’ve seen people who cut the lines and just buy that one part and seal it all back up what would you recommend?
I would cut and join the fuel line. Use quality clamps
Those aftermarket lug nuts have a little bit smaller contact (or seat) area than the OEM ones. Has anybody had problems with this unfortunate fact? OEM nuts have about 8.7 mm of cone length vs about 7 mm of the aftermarket one which I have
"the old intercooler pipe will just slide off" ! Yeah, right. Took me an hour plus to remove it, Needed large screwdrivers, some penetrating oil, and a huge quantity of magic swear words!
That’s a bugger. Sometimes people stick them on with sealants etc. Should come off easy.
@@killawattgarage Nahh, it was the original hose (175k) and I'm the only owner. May be heat related. I'm in Thailand.
Is this Benzin Filter?
Cheers mate. Much appreciated. Would it have helped to partially drop the safety loop (I.e drop one end completely, loosen off the other side just enough so it hangs but you have something to rest the tailshaft on)?
Is this the same procedure with the 2.2 four cylinder
Yep
@@killawattgarage Ok 👍
90,000 km on Ford Ranger Wildtrak Px2. Whistle on acceleration and de acceleration. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing
Mate, i know its been awhile, can you remember what size torque bit used to remove egr motor.
First off I want to give you a huge thank you for this series. I've had to replace the head gasket on a 2013 Chevy Trax twice and both times I followed this series step by step. But for the latest maintenance job on it I've had to replace both cam gears because they were leaking and when putting on the new ones I made the mistake of over-torquing them and running the engine up to temperature. Now I need to get them off and they just will not budge. I've used cheater bars, I've hit them with the impact, tried heating them, tried shocking them with a hammer and nothing. Any idea on how I can get them off? Edit: I'm referring to the torx bolts that fasten the cam gear to the camshaft.
Sorry for the slow reply, hope it’s sorted.
@@killawattgarage yeah, had to pull the cam shafts and cam gears out together and replace them.
Hi, where do I get the camshaft bolt in Canada?
How about the speed meter?
Thanks mate
